Argyle advanced to the next round of the FA Women’s National League Cup with a commanding 3-0 win over London Bees at Home Park on Sunday. Georgia Wilson netted two impressive chips, and Charlotte Whitmore added a volley to secure the victory. Head Coach Ryan Perks expressed his satisfaction with the team’s all-around performance, especially after a tough defeat to Hashtag United.

“I’m pleased we got the job done,” Perks told Argyle TV. “Cup football is about winning, but today we did it the right way. After last week’s heavy loss, it was great to keep a clean sheet.”

Perks praised the team’s defensive effort and emphasized their focus on maintaining a clean-sheet mentality. Argyle went into halftime with a 3-0 lead and, despite a quieter second half, had opportunities to extend their advantage. Perks also highlighted the contributions of goal-scorers Wilson and Whitmore, along with new signing Caitlin Smith, who made her debut.

“Georgia was superb today,” Perks said. “She’s been eager to play in the No. 10 role, and she took her chances well. Charlotte works hard for the team, and it was great to give her a break towards the end. Caitlin’s debut was solid, and the back three were very secure throughout the game.”

Smith, delighted with her first appearance, added: “I’m buzzing to have played the full 90 minutes. The team performed really well, and the support from the crowd made a huge difference. We’re looking forward to building on this result in the next match.”
