Just three days after Oklahoma head coach Patty Gasso had her statue unveiled in front of Love’s Field, the Sooners head coach received a commitment from a top pitcher in the 2026 class.
Malaya Majam-Finch announced her commitment to the Sooners on Monday night via her Instagram account. Majam-Finch is a right-handed pitcher from Fullerton, California. Her announcement confirms she was the “Go Boomer” tweet/post by Oklahoma head coach Patty Gasso on Monday night.

In the 2025 class, the top arm coming in is Sophia Bordi, alongside many other star positional players that has many believing it could be the next great class in college softball.
The standout pitcher earned the New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year for her efforts in 2023 and was named to the Alliance Fastpitch Super Cup All-Tournament Team.
