The 12 competing nations have announced their teams for this year’s women’s World Cup of Tennis finale. The event will be held at the Palacio de Deportes Jose Maria Martin Carpena Arena and will coincide with the men’s Davis Cup Final 8, scheduled for November 19-24, creating a unique two-week celebration of international team tennis.

Key players include Jessica Pegula (USA), Paula Badosa (Spain), and Naomi Osaka (Japan), while Leylah Fernandez will lead Canada in defending their title as reigning champions. World No. 5 Jasmine Paolini will captain the 2023 runners-up Italy, alongside Sara Errani, with whom she won Olympic gold in women’s doubles in Paris this summer.

Tickets for the Finals are currently available for purchase.

The 12 nations will compete in a knockout format to determine the world champion. The first round will take place from November 13 to 15, followed by the quarter-finals on November 16-17, the semi-finals on November 18-19, and the final on November 20.

Conchita Martinez, Tournament Director of the Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Finals, expressed excitement about the strong lineup: “This is an impressive group of top players, and I can’t wait to see them compete in Malaga. Representing your country is a tremendous honor, and every athlete will give their all to win this prestigious title. The overlap with the Davis Cup Final 8 will make for an exciting fortnight of tennis, and I look forward to welcoming the tennis world to Málaga this November.”
