Knox joined as a free agent, though contract details haven’t been disclosed; his previous one-year deals with the Pistons and Trail Blazers were around $2 million. The Kentucky alumnus shined in the Summer League, scoring 31 points in the semifinal against the Miami Heat, and averaged 17.5 points and 8.5 rebounds, joining Brandin Podziemski and Trayce Jackson-Davis in double-digit scoring.

At just 25, Knox is already a six-year NBA veteran. After being drafted by the New York Knicks, he also played for the Atlanta Hawks, Detroit Pistons, and Portland Trail Blazers, returning to Detroit last season. Throughout his career, he has averaged 7.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 0.7 assists across 306 games.

Currently, the Warriors’ starting five includes Curry, Podziemski, Wiggins, Kuminga, and Green, with Knox competing against Kyle Anderson and Moses Moody for a roster spot as the regular season approaches.
