Chelsea are keeping an eye on RB Leipzig defender Castello Lukeba, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano. While the Blues are monitoring the French centre-back, a transfer is more likely to happen next summer, as Leipzig is reportedly asking for a hefty fee for a possible January deal. Currently, no formal discussions have taken place regarding Lukeba, and it’s uncertain if Chelsea will solidify their interest. Romano also notes that Lukeba is just one of several centre-back options Chelsea are considering. Lukeba is under contract with Leipzig until the summer of 2028.
