Deal Confirm: Crysencio Summerville Has Terminates His Contract With West Ham United Coming Back To………………………read more.

Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville, 22, left Leeds United this summer to join West Ham United in the Premier League for a reported £25 million fee. His four-year stint at Elland Road, however, is fondly remembered, as the former Netherlands youth international consistently impressed fans with his dynamic performances, making the £1.3 million Leeds paid Feyenoord for him seem like a bargain.

Primarily a left-sided winger but versatile on both flanks, Summerville rose through the youth ranks at Feyenoord. Although he never made a senior appearance for the Rotterdam-based club, he impressed during loan spells in the Dutch second tier with FC Dordrecht and then in the Eredivisie with ADO Den Haag.

Despite Feyenoord’s hopes for him to become a key player, a training ground incident in 2019 led to his departure to Leeds the following year. He made his debut for the club in 2021 and quickly established himself as a key attacking threat in the Championship, dazzling fans with his pace and skill.

Though Leeds added Italian winger Willy Gnonto to their squad in 2022, the team struggled as a whole and was relegated from the Premier League in 2023. Summerville and Gnonto stayed on for the subsequent season in the Championship, narrowly missing promotion after a play-off final loss to Southampton.

Amid ongoing transfer speculation, Summerville eventually left for West Ham in a £25 million deal, earning Leeds a substantial profit. While his transfer was one of Leeds’ smartest business moves in recent years, some might argue that Brazilian winger Raphinha edges him out.

Raphinha, who joined from Rennes for £17 million in 2022, was a standout performer during his two seasons at Leeds, scoring 17 goals and providing 12 assists before being sold to Barcelona for a potential £55 million, securing the club an even bigger return. Other notable Leeds signings, including Stuart Dallas, Liam Cooper, Pablo Hernandez, and Patrick Bamford, have also made lasting contributions to the team, but in recent times, Raphinha’s impact might surpass that of Summerville.
