AC Milan are exploring new options for their right flank, with interest in Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Manchester City’s Issa Kaboré.

This search arises due to Tottenham’s high demands for Emerson Royal, which Milan finds excessive. Tottenham has remained firm on a €25 million valuation for Emerson Royal, whereas Milan’s initial offer was €15 million including bonuses.

Although Emerson Royal is interested in joining Milan, the financial gap is significant, with Al Nassr also competing for his signature. Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Milan has shifted their focus to Wan-Bissaka and Kaboré, both of whom have contracts expiring in June 2025.

Wan-Bissaka, who has been on the fringes of the Manchester United squad, could be available for a modest fee and would provide a solid defensive option for Milan. Issa Kaboré, a 23-year-old from Manchester City, has had loan spells in Belgium, France, and with Luton Town but hasn’t secured a place under Pep Guardiola. With limited prospects at City, Kaboré’s agents have offered him to Milan, who are considering both him and Wan-Bissaka as viable alternatives to Emerson Royal.

Tottenham’s unwillingness to lower their valuation for Emerson Royal has led Milan to seek other options. The Rossoneri need reinforcements for their right flank, especially with captain Davide Calabria being the only established option following the likely departure of Alessandro Florenzi and the versatile Pierre Kalulu.

Coach Paulo Fonseca’s priority is still Alvaro Morata, but strengthening the defense remains crucial. Wan-Bissaka, who has struggled to secure a regular starting spot at United, offers defensive solidity and Premier League experience. His potential transfer to Milan could rejuvenate his career while addressing a key need for the Italian side.

Kaboré, on the other hand, is a younger, more dynamic option, with versatility and experience across different leagues making him an attractive prospect for Milan. The club’s management is keen to ensure they have multiple options, given the difficulties in securing Emerson Royal.
