Sassuolo is reportedly set to sell midfielder Matheus Henrique to Cruzeiro for €8.5 million, with an additional share of his future transfer fee. This move comes as Sassuolo looks to revamp their squad after their unexpected relegation to Serie B.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the agreement will see Henrique return to his native Brazil. Cruzeiro will pay €8.5 million for the player, and Sassuolo will also receive 10% of any future transfer fee.
The President of Cruzeiro has arrived in Milan to finalize the deal. Sassuolo originally signed Henrique from Gremio in the summer of 2021 for €12 million, and his contract was set to last until June 2026. At 26, Henrique made 89 competitive appearances for Sassuolo, scoring six goals and providing five assists.
