Emotionally: Team’s Up as Celtic’s thought and prayers with Neil Lennon and his family
There will be a minute of silence before kick-off at Celtic Park this afternoon in honor of Neil Lennon’s mother, Ursula, who recently passed away. Celtic has shared this message of sympathy.
Brendan Rodgers has announced the Celtic team to face Kilmarnock at Celtic Park in the 4:30 pm kick-off. Lisbon Lion Jim Craig will raise the flag before the Scottish Champions begin their title defense.
New signing Kasper Schmeichel will be in goal, with Alistair Johnston returning to the side at right back after his Copa America performance. Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales will be the center-backs, and Greg Taylor will play at left back.
The midfield trio consists of Callum McGregor, Matt O’Riley, and Reo Hatate. Kyogo will lead the attack, with James Forrest and Nicolas Kuhn positioned on the wings.
