Regardless, Ridvan is expected to miss a significant number of matches, which raises serious concerns about his future at Rangers, especially considering this is his fourth major injury since joining the club in the summer of 2022.

Shockingly, in the two years since his arrival, Ridvan has managed just 52 appearances, only slightly more than fellow injury-prone player Tom Lawrence by 5 appearances, which hardly justifies the £6 million investment Rangers made in the former Besiktas star.

While Ridvan is undoubtedly a talented and capable left-back, his skill on the pitch means little if Rangers can’t keep him healthy.

He is deeply committed to Rangers and has resisted numerous attempts by his home press to link him with a move back to clubs like Galatasaray. Despite the speculation, he has confirmed his intention to stay at Rangers and hopes to eventually play in a top European league.

Unfortunately, given his current situation, his fitness remains a major concern.

Similar to players like Ryan Jack and Kemar Roofe, Ridvan possesses immense talent but struggles to maintain a consistent run of form due to recurring injuries.

It’s reported that the swelling from his latest injury was so severe that it prevented an immediate scan, and the club is waiting for the swelling to subside before conducting a proper assessment and diagnosis.
