Netflix Announces Explosive New Documentary on Lorna Shore: “From Hellfire to Headliners”
In a groundbreaking move for the extreme metal scene, Netflix has announced an official documentary chronicling the rise of deathcore titans Lorna Shore, titled “From Hellfire to Headliners”. The film, set to premiere globally on November 15, 2025, promises a raw and unfiltered look at the band’s journey from underground brutality to festival headliners.
Directed by acclaimed metal documentarian Sam Dunn (Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey), the documentary will explore the band’s early days, the revolving door of vocalists, their near-collapse in 2020, and the jaw-dropping resurgence sparked by Will Ramos’s entry in 2021. From viral performances to the emotional depth of Pain Remains, the story unfolds with unprecedented behind-the-scenes footage, tour chaos, studio sessions, and interviews with all current and former members.
“Lorna Shore is more than just breakdowns and blast beats,” said Dunn. “They represent a new wave of extreme music that isn’t afraid to be both brutal and beautiful. This documentary is about that transformation—and the cost of chasing artistic immortality.”
Netflix has released a teaser trailer featuring never-before-seen footage of the band performing “To the Hellfire” in front of 80,000 fans at Wacken Open Air, interspersed with emotional confessions from the members reflecting on personal loss, pressure, and rebirth.
The documentary will also feature cameos and commentary from genre peers like Oli Sykes, Trevor Strnad (archival), and members of Shadow of Intent and Thy Art Is Murder.
With a soundtrack that includes remixed and remastered Lorna Shore tracks, and bonus behind-the-scenes content exclusive to Netflix subscribers, “From Hellfire to Headliners” is set to become a definitive moment for metal storytelling.
Prepare to witness the abyss—this November on Netflix.
