“Subjected to unfair treatment”: Power coach discusses intense and unusual conversation with experienced forward.
Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley has revealed details about his intense conversation with Charlie Dixon during quarter-time in the Power’s narrow victory over Fremantle on Saturday night.
Hinkley had a lively discussion with Dixon, who appeared visibly unhappy, particularly due to the performance of his direct opponent, Fremantle’s Alex Pearce, during the first quarter.
The coach explained that the heated exchange was a reflection of Dixon’s broader frustration with what he perceives as unfair treatment from umpires.
“Surprisingly, Charlie feels he doesn’t always get a fair call in contest situations,” Hinkley said, smiling wryly.
