Judiciary Report: Milford, Katoa, Aloiai Face Suspension
Dolphins’ five-eighth Anthony Milford, Sea Eagles’ forward Josh Aloiai, and Sharks’ winger Sione Katoa have all received suspensions after submitting early guilty pleas to charges stemming from Round 6.
Milford has been sidelined for two matches due to a Grade 2 Dangerous Contact offense involving Broncos’ fullback Reece Walsh. This will see him miss his team’s clashes against the Eels and Knights before returning in Round 9 to face the Cowboys in Townsville.
Aloiai, after pleading guilty to a Grade 2 Dangerous Contact charge on Warriors’ halfback Shaun Johnson, will sit out Manly’s Round 7 match against the Titans.
Katoa’s Grade 2 Careless High Tackle charge, related to his contact on Souths’ captain Cameron Murray, will keep him out of Cronulla’s game against the Cowboys.
Eels’ forward Bryce Cartwright has been fined $750 for Dangerous Contact on Tom Dearden, while Cowboys’ Kulikefu Finefeuiaki and Sam McIntyre, after entering early guilty pleas for Grade 1 Dangerous Contact charges, were fined $1000 each.
Storm’s fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen, along with four other players, was charged following Friday night’s matches. He submitted an early guilty plea to a Dangerous Contact offense involving Bulldogs’ winger Josh Addo-Carr and received a $750 fine.
Additionally, Storm’s Reimis Smith (Careless High Tackle) and Alec MacDonald (Dangerous Contact) pleaded guilty and received fines.
Broncos’ forward Jordan Riki was fined $1000 for a Grade 1 Careless High Tackle offense, while Bulldog Sam Hughes, after pleading guilty to a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact offense, was fined $1800.
Roosters’ playmaker Luke Keary and Knights’ prop Jacob Saifiti, among others, were fined for Round 6 offenses.
Wests Tigers’ veteran David Klemmer pleaded guilty to two separate Careless High Tackle charges and received a $1000 fine for each offense. Fellow Tiger Justin Matamua was fined $1000 for Dangerous Contact.
Titans’ forward Jaimin Jolliffe was charged with a Grade 1 Careless High Tackle on Zac Hosking and fined $1000 after submitting an early guilty plea.
