The NBA has announced that the Indiana Pacers will travel to Paris next season to play two games against the San Antonio Spurs. The games will take place on Thursday, January 23rd and Saturday, January 25th. This marks the fourth occasion that NBA teams have played in Paris, but it’s the first time two regular-season games will be held in the city within the same season.
Kevin Pritchard, Pacers President of Basketball Operations, expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity, noting the team’s global fan base and their eagerness to engage with new generations of fans worldwide through this initiative.
This trip to France will be the Pacers’ first, marking their tenth and eleventh international games in franchise history. The team’s most recent overseas appearance was in 2019 for a preseason game against the Sacramento Kings in India.
Beyond the games, the visit will involve interactive fan activities, community outreach, and programs for Jr. NBA basketball development, with players from both teams participating.
