DEAL CANCELED: Carolina Panthers contract offer to Rory Beggan is canceled due to
The Carolina Panthers have decided not to extend a contract offer to Rory Beggan following his recent trial with the NFL team. Beggan participated in the NFL’s International Player Pathway earlier this year, showcasing his kicking skills at the NFL Combine.
Despite his impressive performance, he returned to Monaghan to play in their Ulster championship match against Cavan before heading back to the United States to pursue a kicking contract, but unfortunately, he was unsuccessful.
There’s a possibility he might receive invitations to try out with other NFL teams. Meanwhile, Wicklow goalkeeper Mark Jackson is currently undergoing trials with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Additionally, Charlie Smyth from Down and Jude McAtamney from Derry have secured contracts with the New Orleans Saints and New York Giants respectively in recent weeks.
