The Golden State Warriors have made a roster adjustment following the game against the Spurs.

On Saturday evening, the Golden State Warriors suffered a 126-113 defeat against the San Antonio Spurs at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

Gui Santos contributed one rebound and one assist during his six minutes of play.

After the game, the Warriors revealed that Santos had been reassigned to the Santa Cruz Warriors, their G League affiliate. According to Warriors PR, “The Golden State Warriors have designated forward Gui Santos to the team’s G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, effective immediately. Santos is slated to participate in Santa Cruz’s upcoming game against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at Chase Center tomorrow (with a tipoff at 12:30 p.m. PDT).”

Santos, who was selected as the 55th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, is currently in his debut NBA season. He maintains an average of 3.7 points and 2.7 rebounds per game, shooting 48.7% from the field and 38.9% from three-point range over 16 games.

In the G League regular season, Santos holds averages of 12.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game, shooting 40.2% from the field and 29.4% from three-point range across nine games.

With a record of 33-30 in 63 games, the Warriors currently occupy the tenth seed in the Western Conference, securing the final play-in tournament spot. They are amidst a two-game losing streak and have achieved a 6-4 record in their last ten games.

On Monday evening, the Warriors will journey to San Antonio for another confrontation with the Spurs. There is a possibility that Santos may be recalled to the Warriors before the game.
