The Bengals have inked a deal with Zack Moss, who was previously selected by the Bills in the draft.
Zack Moss, aged 26, has joined the Cincinnati Bengals. Originally drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Moss faced challenges with his initial team. He was later traded to the Indianapolis Colts during the deadline exchange that brought Nyheim Hines to Buffalo.
During his time with the Colts, Moss experienced a resurgence, particularly when Jonathan Taylor was sidelined due to injury. However, Moss took a backseat when Taylor returned to reclaim his position as one of the league’s top rushers.
Now, Moss has secured a two-year contract worth $8 million with the Bengals, as reported by Bengals Wire. In Cincinnati, he will team up with quarterback Joe Burrow in a backfield that no longer includes Joe Mixon, who was released by the team. Additionally, Moss will compete for playing time with Geno Stone and Chase Brown at the running back position for the Bengals.
Following a challenging start to his professional career, Moss has managed to find his rhythm and is poised to potentially become the primary running back for the Bengals, marking his best opportunity yet to establish himself as a top-tier player at his position.
