SO SAD: Warriors key player has been suspended from participating in all sport activities for playing a bet against…..

After their defeat to the Tigers dropped them to the bottom of the standings, Des Hasler’s Titans must regroup at home against a Warriors team likely still stinging from surrendering a 14-0 lead to the Storm.

Hasler was in disbelief that his team failed to convert nine line breaks into a win at Leichhardt Oval, ultimately losing 18-10 to a desperate Tigers squad that had been on a nine-game losing streak.

The Warriors started strong in front of an enthusiastic home crowd in Auckland, but their attack faltered in the second half, extending their losing streak against Melbourne to 16 matches.

With Kurt Capewell joining the Maroons for Origin Two and Mitch Barnett listed as the 18th man for NSW, the Warriors are missing some experienced forwards. Meanwhile, the Titans will be without Maroons prop Moeaki Fotuaika, but David Fifita is expected to return from an ankle injury.

The Titans have only one win at Cbus Super Stadium in 2024, but their victory over the Warriors in Auckland in Round 8 provides hope of escaping the bottom with a win on Saturday.
