Five-star edge rusher Isaiah Gibson announced his decision to join the Georgia Bulldogs on Monday evening. Hailing from Warner Robins High School in Georgia, Gibson stands at 6-5 and weighs 260 pounds. Originally committing to the USC Trojans in March, the twists and turns of his recruitment have been challenging for USC and its supporters to digest. Despite efforts by Eric Henderson, USC was unable to retain this promising and highly talented defensive prospect, who could have made a significant impact had he remained in Los Angeles.

Gibson conducted his official visit to Georgia from May 31 to June 2. During this month, he also visited South Carolina, Auburn, Tennessee, and Ohio State on official visits.

He is ranked as the nation’s second-best edge rusher and the 36th overall prospect for the 2025 class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

“Honestly, after I committed, Coach Smart texted me one minute after I committed. Coach Smart, Coach Schumann, Coach Diribe, Coach Scott, everybody was like they’re going to be there until the end,” Gibson shared with 247Sports. “They were just saying they were going to be there until the end.”
