West Ham have officially signed Wes Foderingham from Sheffield United, marking their second acquisition of the summer transfer window.
Foderingham will join Julen Lopetegui’s squad on a free transfer after his contract with Sheffield United expires, serving as the third-choice goalkeeper. This follows the departures of Nathan Trott and Joseph Anang from the club.
Trott, who joined West Ham in 2016, made only one first-team appearance in the FA Cup, playing seven minutes against Doncaster Rovers in 2021. He has now moved permanently to FC Kobenhavn in Denmark, after impressing during his time with Vejle Boldklub, for an undisclosed fee.
Ghanaian goalkeeper Anang has left West Ham on a free transfer after his contract ended and has joined Irish side St Patrick’s Athletic.
