Detroit Lions re-sign WR Tim Patrick
The Detroit Lions are bringing back Tim Patrick, their reliable veteran wide receiver on a one-year deal.
The Detroit Lions have brought back veteran wide receiver Tim Patrick on a one-year contract worth up to $4 million, according to reports. The team officially announced the signing on Friday, March 14, 2025.
Patrick, 31, joined Detroit in August 2024 after being released by the Denver Broncos. He initially started on the Lions’ practice squad but was promoted to the active roster in September. During the 2024 season, he recorded 33 receptions for 394 yards and three touchdowns. One of his standout performances came in December when he scored two touchdowns against the Green Bay Packers, marking his first trips to the end zone in over 1,000 days.
Before arriving in Detroit, Patrick spent multiple seasons with the Broncos. His most productive year came in 2021 when he totaled 53 receptions for 734 yards and five touchdowns. However, he missed the entire 2022 and 2023 seasons due to injuries.
By re-signing Patrick, the Lions maintain stability in their receiving corps as they look to defend their NFC North title and build on their success from last season.
