“Nothing But Thieves Confirm New Album in the Works—Band Set to Return After Creative Break”
After months of speculation and a self-imposed hiatus, British alt-rock giants Nothing But Thieves have officially confirmed what fans have long hoped for: a brand-new album is in the works. In an intimate video posted across their social channels today, frontman Conor Mason sat beside bandmates Joe Langridge-Brown and Dom Craik, announcing, “We’ve been writing. A lot. And it’s finally starting to sound like the future of Nothing But Thieves.”
The news comes after the band wrapped their massive Dead Club City world tour with a headlining slot at Truck Festival 2025. While the group had previously announced a creative pause to recharge, today’s reveal makes it clear they never really stopped thinking about what’s next.
“We took the break not just to rest, but to reimagine,” said Mason. “We wanted to explore new sounds, new stories. This next chapter is going to be raw, electronic, cinematic—and very NBT.”
No release date has been set yet, but the band confirmed they’ve already written over 15 tracks and plan to enter the studio later this year. They hinted at potential collaborations and teased a concept that’s “bigger than Dead Club City—more emotional, more urgent.”
Fans flooded the comments with excitement. “This is the best news I’ve heard all year!” one wrote, while another added, “I’ve missed you guys so much. Can’t wait to hear what you’ve been cooking.”
With a new era on the horizon, Nothing But Thieves continue to prove they’re not just a band—they’re a movement. And the next chapter is already echoing through the speakers of devoted fans worldwide.
