“Type O Negative Announce One-Night Only Halloween Reunion Featuring Peter Steele Hologram”
In a stunning announcement that has electrified the gothic metal world, Type O Negative has officially announced a one-night-only reunion concert set for Halloween night, October 31st, at Brooklyn’s historic Kings Theatre. The band revealed the news via a cryptic teaser video posted on social media, featuring flickering green crosses and the chilling whisper of Peter Steele’s voice.
The show, titled “October’s Resurrection,” will see surviving members Kenny Hickey, Johnny Kelly, and Josh Silver reunite to perform “October Rust” in its entirety, along with a career-spanning set of classics. The centerpiece of the event will be a hyper-realistic hologram of Peter Steele, developed with his family’s full blessing and cutting-edge technology, to honor the legacy of the late frontman.
“This is something we’ve talked about privately for years,” Hickey stated in the announcement. “But the time finally felt right. It’s not about cashing in—it’s about closure, about giving the fans and ourselves a final chapter.”
The show promises full gothic atmosphere, complete with fog machines, candlelit visuals, and an elaborate cathedral-inspired stage design. In addition to the live performance, the band hinted at a possible limited-edition vinyl release tied to the event and exclusive tribute merchandise.
Tickets will go on sale next Friday at 10 AM EST, and a global livestream is being arranged to ensure fans worldwide can take part in what is already being dubbed the “darkest, most emotional concert of the decade.”
For a band that embraced death, decay, and heartbreak like no other, Type O Negative’s Halloween resurrection may be the perfect final farewell—or the beginning of something undead.
