Preview of Commitment Day: Concluding Remarks Regarding George MacIntyre

George MacIntyre, the quarterback from Brentwood Academy, has been one of the most talked-about names in Tennessee recruiting history. That isn’t hyperbole—for nearly a year, Tennessee’s top prospect on their recruiting board is a native of the Nashville area. He has received a great deal of time and attention from the coaching staff, and now is the moment.

around Brentwood Academy, MacIntyre will make his college commitment known around 9:30 AM EST. He has to choose between Tennessee and Alabama, two legendary SEC programs that fight it out for national attention. Prior to making his choice, MacIntyre had a great relationship with Nick Saban, the head coach of Alabama, but Saban’s unexpected departure turned the tide of this recruiting class in favor of the Vols.

But for some time now, MacIntyre had been leaning toward Tennessee. Josh Heupel, the head coach of Tennessee, and Joey Halzle, the offensive coordinator, are close to him. MacIntyre has previously stated in interviews that his decision was influenced by his home state’s attraction and support base. We feel confident in logging a prediction for MacIntyre to land with Tennessee later this morning given the current state of affairs. He would be the third offensive commit for the Vols in the 2025 recruiting class and the sixth overall. Brentwood Academy will be the focus of Tennessee’s attention this morning.
