Fury Responds to Joshua’s Win Against Ngannou

Tyson Fury has confidently asserted that Anthony Joshua lacks the capability to challenge him and Oleksandr Usyk in the heavyweight boxing arena.

Fury made these remarks following Joshua’s impressive victory over former UFC fighter Francis Ngannou in the second round in Saudi Arabia over the weekend.

While acknowledging Joshua’s knockout, Fury maintained that Joshua ranks below him and Usyk in the division’s hierarchy.

“I’m certain that Oleksandr Usyk will contest Joshua’s claim to being number one in the world, especially considering Usyk defeated him twice in recent years,” Fury stated.

“Usyk and I are set to face off in an undisputed world heavyweight championship match. While Joshua had a notable exhibition fight in Saudi Arabia, the real competition lies between Usyk and me for the top positions in the undisputed championship.”

Fury indicated that although a fight with Joshua has been anticipated for years, various obstacles have hindered it, with the current hurdle being the undisputed heavyweight championship.

“The Joshua fight is currently on hold. While Joshua delivered a remarkable performance, I have bigger priorities facing Usyk on May 18, followed by a rematch in October. If Joshua is still interested after that, and I’m available, let’s make it happen.”
