Faizon Brandon Attends Tennessee’s Spring Game

Grimsley High School quarterback Faizon Brandon has developed a fondness for the Tennessee Volunteers over the past year. Despite receiving attention from multiple programs nationwide, Tennessee’s early interest has given them a competitive edge.

Brandon has made several trips to Knoxville in recent months and attended their annual “Orange and White Spring Game” this past Saturday. During the event, he had the opportunity to take a photo with former Tennessee offensive lineman Trey Smith, who is now a two-time Super Bowl Champion with the Kansas City Chiefs. According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Brandon is ranked as the No. 46 prospect in the 2026 class and the No. 5 quarterback.

When it comes to his playing style, Brandon possesses impressive arm strength, which aligns well with Tennessee’s emphasis on pushing the ball vertically. He excels at making challenging throws down the sideline and has precise control over the trajectory of the football. While he doesn’t frequently attempt difficult throws into tight windows, he is fully capable of doing so when the opportunity arises.

In terms of pocket presence, Brandon has laid a solid foundation during his first two high school seasons. His movements within the pocket are deliberate, and he maintains consistent footwork even under pressure. He isn’t hesitant to withstand hits while delivering accurate throws.

Anticipation is another key aspect of Brandon’s game, which is crucial in Tennessee’s offense that heavily relies on timing. He has developed strong chemistry with his receivers at Grimsley High School, demonstrating the ability to anticipate their movements and place the ball accurately before they make their breaks. This skill is a promising indicator of his potential as a successful quarterback in Tennessee’s offense.
