Mark Few, the head coach of Gonzaga’s men’s basketball team, has been selected to join the coaching staff for Team USA at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Serving as an assistant coach alongside Tyronn Lue, head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers, and Erik Spoelstra, head coach of the Miami Heat, Few will support head coach Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors.

The announcement of the team and coaching staff was made today by Grant Hill, managing director of Team USA. The roster boasts 12 NBA all-stars, including LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Kawhi Leonard, Jayson Tatum, and Joel Embiid.

Notably, Few will be the sole member of the team and coaching staff who is not currently affiliated with the NBA. Team USA will commence training camp on July 6 in Las Vegas, with their first game scheduled for July 28 in Paris against Filip Petrusev and Team Serbia, a former Gonzaga player.

In Paris, the American team will aim to secure their fifth consecutive Olympic gold medal and their 17th overall.
