Surprising Act: Head coach Brent Venables Gives Report to Oklahoma sooners football team for his departure

NORMAN — Jermayne Lole, a former defensive lineman for Louisville, revealed to On3 on Monday that he has decided to transfer to Oklahoma. He made this decision after visiting the Sooners during their spring game on April 20.

Lole, who has one year left of eligibility, declared his intention to enter the transfer portal on April 14. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 310 pounds, Lole initially joined the Cardinals as a transfer from Arizona State, where he played for four seasons.

With Lole’s commitment and OU’s pursuit of TCU defensive line transfer Damonic Williams, it appears that the Sooners are focusing on strengthening their roster in preparation for joining the SEC.

Lole becomes the second player to announce his commitment to Oklahoma during the spring transfer portal period, following former SMU offensive lineman Branson Hickman, who committed on April 21. The spring portal remains open until April 30, giving players the opportunity to select their new destination or return to their current school until that date.
