NFL Breaking: Top Prospect Faizon Brandon Eyed by Tennessee Volunteers as Quarterback

Top-ranked prospect Faizon Brandon targeted by Tennessee Volunteers as quarterback.

Grimsley High School’s quarterback, Faizon Brandon, has been a prime target for the Tennessee Volunteers for quite some time. Last summer, following his impressive performance at a summer camp and observation of his skills, the coaching staff identified him as their top priority for the 2026 recruiting cycle. According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Brandon ranks as the 9th best prospect in his class and showcased his talent by throwing for 3,026 yards and 36 touchdowns during his sophomore season.

Recent updates from 247Sports now position Brandon as the top overall prospect in the 2026 cycle, regardless of position. He also holds the distinction of being the top quarterback in his class on two major recruiting platforms, indicating his increasing prominence on the national stage. Despite receiving offers from other top programs like Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M, Tennessee has maintained a strong rapport with Brandon and is viewed as a leading contender for his commitment.

The Vols have actively pursued Brandon, welcoming him to their campus multiple times over the past year and fostering a solid relationship. Despite competition from other quarterbacks like George MacIntyre from Brentwood Academy, Brandon remains keenly interested in Tennessee’s program. As his recruitment progresses, it will be interesting to see how his relationship with the Vols evolves.
