The initial betting lines for five Tennessee Football games have been released. According to the odds recently established by DraftKings, the Vols are favored against North Carolina State and Florida, but are considered underdogs for road matchups against Oklahoma and Georgia, as well as the home game against Alabama.

In the neutral-site game scheduled for September 7 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, in the Duke’s Mayo Classic, Tennessee opened as a 5.5-point favorite against North Carolina State.

For the SEC opener on September 21 at Oklahoma, where the Sooners will debut as an SEC team following their move from the Big 12, the Vols opened as 5-point underdogs.

In the SEC home opener on October 12 against Florida, Tennessee is favored by 11 points, but they are considered two-point underdogs at home against Alabama the following week, on October 19 at Neyland Stadium.

For the November 16 game at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Georgia, Tennessee was established as a 17.5-point underdog against Georgia.

The Vols are slated to play four consecutive SEC home games this season.

They kick off the season at home on August 31 against Chattanooga and, following a matchup against N.C. State in Charlotte, return home to face Kent State on September 14.

After two consecutive conference away games, at Oklahoma on September 21 and at Arkansas on October 5, with the first open date of the season in between, Tennessee gears up for four consecutive home games. These include clashes against Florida (October 12), Alabama (October 19), Kentucky (November 2), and Mississippi State (November 9), with the second open date on October 26 breaking up the four-game stretch.

Last week, Tennessee announced that it has once again sold out its allotment of 70,500 season tickets at Neyland Stadium for the second consecutive season. Additionally, the university has amassed nearly 15,000 fans on its “season ticket interest list.”

“We have an enormous amount of fans,” remarked Tennessee athletics director Danny White during the Big Orange Caravan stop in Nashville. “People around the country are trying to figure out how to make their stadiums smaller. We’re 102,000 strong and sold out for the season. We’re fortunate at Tennessee to have what I believe to be the best fanbase in sport.”

Under White’s leadership, the ‘Rise Glorious’ comprehensive strategic plan, launched in July 2022, included season ticket goals for the football program. In the fall of 2022, Tennessee exceeded a goal of 56,000 season tickets sold, reaching 61,490. Last season, their goal was 61,500, and they ultimately sold out the entire allotment of 70,500.

The 2024 season marks the third time in 23 seasons that Tennessee has achieved a sellout of football season tickets, previously doing so in May and August 2016.

Last season, Tennessee led the SEC in total home attendance (713,405) and average home attendance (101,915), ranking third and fourth nationally in those respective categories.
