its a done deal: Another mega star player committed to the Plymouth Argyle just….

Plymouth Argyle and Sheffield Wednesday both endured difficult returns to Championship football as they finished in the lower reaches of the division.

Wednesday at one point seemed almost certain to go down but a strong second half of the season under head coach Danny Rohl saw them escape to safety.

For Argyle, it was a different story. Despite never featuring in the relegation zone, they would have to rely on crucial wins against Hull City and Leicester City to secure their safety come May.

For both sides, the end of the season was a welcome relief, but next year they must ensure they push higher up that table. In a bid to do so, targeting more experienced Championship individuals should come as a priority and the recent news coming out of Huddersfield should interest both parties

Plymouth Argyle and Sheffield Wednesday must consider Huddersfield's Sorba Thomas

Huddersfield Town’s five-year stay in the Championship ended last month as they finished a disappointing 23rd in the division. With only nine wins all season and only one victory post-March, their poor form at the end of the season cost them dearly.

Next season will be difficult for the Terriers then, but first, they have to deal with interest for some of their tier-two quality stars. One of them is Sorba Thomas, who has been at the club since signing from Boreham Wood back in 2021.

This summer it seems likely he will move on and Huddersfield have slapped a £750,000 valuation on the winger, as per Alan Nixon’s Patreon.

For Plymouth and Wednesday, this should come as great news and both clubs should enter the race to try and sign the Welshman

Thomas’ first full season at Championship level was one filled with a supreme amount of promise. In 43 league games for his side, the winger contributed 12 assists and three goals as the Terriers finished just six points off the automatic spots.

During that year’s play-offs, he highlighted his threat from set-pieces as he provided a wonderful assist for Jordan Rhodes in their semi-final against Luton
