Michigan football is currently aiming to take advantage of its momentum in the recruiting trail. Kainoa Winston, a safety ranked in the top 100, has committed to the Wolverines, and they are not done with the secondary.
Lamar Morgan, the new defensive backs coach, has been extremely aggressive in his recruitment and is taking chances with the greatest players available. Cornerback Shamari Earls, ranked 100th overall, is one who is currently visiting the university. Although Virginia native Earls has committed to South Carolina since April, Michigan is still interested in him. Relationship building with Earls has been expertly handled by the personnel; it has been a true team effort. After this visit, I most definitely think Michigan football will get greater momentum with Earls. With Earls, Michigan will have a genuine chance if they can carry over that energy into the season.
The Wolverines should benefit from Kainoa Winston’s dedication in this situation. With a top 100 safety already in the mix, Michigan is off to a great start in its quest to create an outstanding class. Michigan is unquestionably a stronger program than South Carolina, but defeating Georgia will be difficult.
• Five groups If Michigan had the ability, they would force the Wolverines out of the Big Ten.
