Michigan Football Signs the Top TE Prospect for 2025

It looks like the Wolverines will land another outstanding tight-end class.


It looks like Michigan will get another elite tight end class, this time in the 2025 cycle.

A four-star tight end For a while now, Eli Owens has been leaning toward Michigan. He formally announced it on Thursday afternoon.

Owens declared his commitment to the Wolverines on social media.

 

Owens is the No. 19 TE in the 2025 cycle and the 355th-ranked recruit overall, per the Composite. He has a strong offer list and is from Alcoa, Tennessee.

Teams that sent Owens offers included Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan State, Ohio State, and Tennessee.

 

He weighs 243 pounds and is slightly over 6-foot-1, so he already has legitimate size. Owens has one more high school season to gain a little more muscle before moving to Ann Arbor.

Owens visited Ann Arbor on business when the Wolverines played Purdue, and he returned to Michigan for The Game, when the Wolverines hosted Ohio State.

Owens’s signing gives Michigan four commitments for the 2025 cycle.
