shocking news: he is back……see more

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Jayson Molumby has been accused of violent conduct for striking an opponent during a pre-season match against Real Mallorca. The Republic of Ireland international punched Samu Costa in the face after a first-half challenge by the Portuguese player on July 27. The two players then engaged in a scuffle on the ground, necessitating intervention from their teammates.

Following the incident, Costa appeared to swing an arm at the 24-year-old Molumby after the Irishman had pushed his head into the Mallorca midfielder. Molumby was substituted at half-time, and the referee ended the first half prematurely due to the altercation. Molumby has until August 9 to respond to the Football Association’s charge.

Albion has upcoming friendlies against Cambridge United and Birmingham City on Friday and Saturday before beginning the new season with a trip to QPR on August 10.
