“Been Working on These Wood Signs for a While – What Do You Think?”
I’ve been working on something a little different lately—something with my hands, away from the field, away from the spotlight. Over the last few months, I’ve been carving and designing these wood signs in my shop out back. It’s nothing fancy, just me, some old cedar planks, and a whole lot of sawdust.

It started as a way to keep busy, clear my mind, and put some personal touch into something real. You know how it is—after years of throwing footballs, sometimes it feels good to build something solid, something you can hold, hang up, or hand down.
These signs? They’ve got quotes, names, sometimes a Packers “G” if I’m feeling nostalgic. Each one is different. Some look polished, some are more rustic, rough around the edges—kind of like me, I guess.
Here’s the thing: I’ve been doing this for a while now, but I haven’t really shared it. Thought maybe it was just a little hobby for myself. But lately, I’ve been thinking—your opinion matters. I’d love to know what you think.
Would you hang one of these in your home? Would you give one to a buddy or your dad for Father’s Day? Or maybe you’ve got an idea for a phrase or design you’d like to see on one?
Drop me a comment or send a message. I’m not saying I’m starting a business or anything—just sharing something that’s become meaningful to me. And if it resonates with even a few folks out there, then hey, maybe I’m onto something.
