Duke’s starting forward, Mark Mitchell, declares his plan to enter the transfer portal.

Duke forward Mark Mitchell has revealed his intention on Tuesday to enter the transfer portal this offseason, following two seasons with the Blue Devils. His tenure at Duke likely concluded in the Elite Eight last weekend, as Duke fell to NC State in the NCAA tournament.

Expressing gratitude towards Duke University and his supporters, Mitchell stated to On3 that he deeply appreciates the community’s impact on his life. Nevertheless, he has made the decision to enter the transfer portal.

The former five-star recruit posted averages of 11.6 points, 6 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game in the 33 games he played during the 2023–24 season.

Mitchell’s decision to depart from the Blue Devils program coincides with UConn clinching its second consecutive NCAA title. Despite this, Duke emerged as a betting favorite for some sportsbooks to secure the 2025 NCAA title.
