Stephon Shivers, a Georgia recruit, talks about his recent trip to Ole Miss and intends to make an official visit back to Oxford.

On Thursday, Ole Miss hosted Stephon Shivers, a defensive lineman currently committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. Shivers, a three-star recruit from Humboldt High School in Tennessee, stands at 6 feet 3.5 inches tall and weighs 355 pounds. He is ranked as the No. 40 defensive lineman in the nation and the No. 13 player in Tennessee for the class of 2025.

Shivers holds offers from several SEC programs including Ole Miss, Georgia, Texas, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, and Tennessee, along with offers from Michigan, Oregon, Purdue, Memphis, Louisville, Marshall, and several FCS programs.

Regarding his visit to Ole Miss, Shivers expressed positive feedback, stating, “It was a great visit. I like the way that they practiced and their coaches. I liked the way the facility was.”

In addition to Shivers, three-star athlete Andrew Purcell from Enterprise High School in Alabama visited Ole Miss on Thursday. Purcell, ranked as the nation’s No. 21 athlete and the No. 25 player in Alabama for the class of 2025, holds offers from various SEC and other schools, including Ole Miss, Tennessee, Florida, Kentucky, Miami, Oregon, Houston, Indiana, South Florida, Central Florida, UAB, Troy, Memphis, Marshall, Jacksonville State, and Georgia Southern. Ole Miss is recruiting Purcell to play cornerback.
